when to strike. and that's why they're getting away cleanly each time. >> they do some planning, don't he? >> all right, 5:08 the time, steve, thanks. two men recovering at presbyterian hospital after double shooting and attempted robbery in west philadelphia. police say this happened near small grocery store in the 5400 block of walnut st. around 11:30 last night. two suspect came up to the two men, and told them they were being robbed. then, when the men started running, they shot them. >> as soon as the victims saw the handguns, they both fled on foot. one ran eason walnut from 54th, the other ran west on walnut from 54th. they both heard gunshots ring out. and then both realized they were shot. >> can you imagine you are running away trying to get away and you still get shot? police say nothing appears to have been taken in the rob rip. of course an investigation is underway. >> police also investigating another shooting from overnight. this one happened around 55th and walton. this was at 11:30, the victim in stable condition at presbyterian. police say it is under

investigation, no word on a suspect or even motive. this is not, however, related to the shooting at 54th and walnut. >> 5:09 the time. hopefully kids didn't see. >> this but philadelphia police are searching for a man they say pistol whipped a woman right in front of a school. >> investigators say, the attempted sexual assault quickly became a robbery outside the john marshall school in frankford. the 33 year old woman told police that is where a man-made sexual advances toward her, she says when she tried to push him away, he hit her in the head with a pistol. the man grabbed her purse, and wallet, and then took off. >> the death toll from the earthquake in chile has listen to five. it was so powerful, tsunami advisory was triggered that extended to hawaii and california. the 8.3 magnitude earthquake caused buildings, in the capitol of santiago to sway. people rushed outside fearful after clams. officials say the quake and its after shocks were strong enough to be felton the other side of the continent. tsunami alarms sounded within minute, some smaller coastal towns saw flooding, damage

the tsunami dangers, because, that is where the earthquake was. and you can see how the tsunami danger just spreads all the way out over the pacific ocean. no reports of any tsunami's, yet, but they closed a lot of the beaches in california this morning just as a precaution. cry at report from yesterday, up to 87 degrees, the average high is now 78. we didn't come close to the record of course yesterday. and we're above average this month for a rainfall total. must mostly because so much rain in one day this month, but dry all week long. we look at some of the temperatures throughout the region. in rehoboth beach, 56 degrees, sea isle city has 66, and also at 66 in beach haven. 58 degrees in medford lakes, and over in pennsylvania, perkasie, 54, doylestown, 54, as well. and 53 degrees in hazleton, pottsville has 52 degrees this morning. reduced visibility in some areas, two and a half miles in allentown, and in lancaster,

so, these are places where you might out on the country roads encounter some fog. 6 miles visibility, in wilmington, slightly reduced there, so no huge problems with fog, but we will keep an eye on that situation. 64 degrees in the city. and 50 degrees up in mount pocono. couple of more temperatures, 63 in dover, 606 in wilmington, delaware. satellite radar picture, there are some clouds to the south of us. keeping things on the mild side, but no precipitation, anywhere close, this is the cold front we will be watching for the weekend. but as we look ahead in our fox future cast, we see completely dry weather today, and tomorrow, and on saturday. now, by late in the day on saturday, you start to see this cold front move into the western part of the state the rain pretty much fizzles out before it gets here. so, the early call that we had over the weekend for an eagles game with possible showers you

will have cooler temperatures than today, tomorrow, saturday, by sunday, the high only 80 degrees, and by monday, we have a chance of rain, and 75. staying in the 70s on tuesday, and wednesday, and wednesday is the day, that autumn begins. so that's your seven day forecast, couple of more summary days ahead. and here's what's ahead, if you are headed out on the roadways this morning, we start off with a live look at the schuylkill expressway westbound, approaching belmont avenue, and it looks like crews have pick up the cones from that construction, so it should and smooth sailing, at least for little while, until the volume picks up in a few hours. now, 95, at cottman avenue, a few cars out there, but be aware the off ramp to cottman avenue is closed for construction right now. in new jersey, let's check some of the travel speeds, it looks like we're below the post dollars speeds, many of our roadways, 322, the 42 freeway, but moving along just fine on 295.

chris, lauren? >> sad update here, family of aid to new york governor andrew cuomo says the man has died after being shot in the crossfire of two gangs, this happened just before the city's west india parade earlier this month. he was placed on medically induced coma after he was shot in the head during a party before that parade. the shooting is one of many surrounding the event. the annual celebration of caribbean culture is known to be violent. >> the flashflooding in utah has now killed 18 people. >> search crews continue to search for those swept away, among them, six year old boy who hasn't been seen since two vehicles were swept away in raging waters on utah arizona border. the body of sixth hiker, at zion national park has been recovered, but another hiker still missing. park rangers say the group was warned about the danger of flooding before entering the canyon, but there was no way to warn them once the waters began to rise. >> off initials south carolina say friend of the man charge in the mass church shooting may have known more about

dylann roof's plans to carry out the attack. roof accused of killing nine black church goers, inside the emanuel ame church in charleston in june. speaking anonymously with the associated press law enforcement official said his friends is under investigation, for lying to law enforcement, and for knowing about the crime before it happened. but, failing to report it. said roof stayed with him before the shootings. >> texas teenager pulled from class, and arrested, for bringing a homemade clock to school. a teacher at macarthur high school in erving alerted officials think it may have been a bomb. fourteen year old muhammad, muslim, an engineering student as has won awards for his inventions, told police it was a clock, and they couldn't understand why he would bring it to class. >> i told him it is a clock. and he told me why would you bring a clock to school? and i was like well, there are clocks here, clocks here, clocks around you everywhere,

>> pennsylvania's budget stalemate now spilling into court. a child welfare advocacy group is asking a court to order governor wolf's administration to release money for about 15,000 children in foster care, the pennsylvania council of children, youth and family services says the budget impasse is putting the youngest pennsylvanians at risk. the group's lawyer argues the governor can declare their services essential which would then free up that money. parents of children at bed minister elementary school in bucks county facing fines if they don't comply with new parking laws.
